The General Medicine course at Pécs is structured to provide a solid foundation upon which future physicians can continually expand their medical knowledge in an ever-evolving field. This educational program encompasses six years of both pre-clinical and clinical studies, spanning ten semesters, along with one year dedicated to clinical rotations. The curriculum is grounded in the belief that direct exposure to patients, whether at their bedside or in the operating room, is essential for a robust medical education.
In the initial Basic module, students gain familiarity with the healthy human body’s structure and functions. Subsequently, in the Preclinical module, they delve into the formation and characteristics of pathological processes and acquire essential patient examination skills. The Clinical module is dedicated to teaching specific diseases and honing students’ diagnostic and therapeutic abilities, with a strong emphasis on practical, hands-on experience, primarily within clinical wards.
The Clinical rotation entails a year of immersive practical training within hospital wards, where students engage in various medical activities under the guidance and supervision of their instructors.
The diploma conferred by the Medical School is widely recognized and accepted in all European Union member states, as well as numerous other countries, including Norway, the United States, Canada, Israel, and more.
