This course is meticulously crafted to equip students with the essential skills needed for successful higher education pursuits. It encompasses three core areas: study skills, presentation skills, and foundational academic writing. In the study skills component, students will learn how to autonomously manage their learning process, which includes setting goals, monitoring progress, effective time management, and self-reflection on achievements and areas needing improvement. The second segment will concentrate on honing students’ presentation abilities, while the third section will provide them with fundamental knowledge in academic writing. Given that both delivering presentations and writing academic papers necessitate proficient data collection, this course will also instruct students on how to leverage resources from the WBS library, utilize available databases, and adhere to ethical practices in source citation.
