Course Description

The Master of Science program in Computer Science, offered by the Faculty of Informatics, equips students with the advanced theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to excel in the field. Building upon the foundation laid during their Bachelor’s studies, students delve deeper into the subject matter, preparing them to work independently or within a team.

Graduates of this program assume diverse responsibilities, including the development, implementation, operation, and servicing of IT systems. They are adept at collaborating and constructing models essential for tackling specialized IT tasks relevant to their chosen field. Furthermore, successful students possess the requisite knowledge to apply their skills innovatively in research and development endeavors.

The curriculum covers a range of critical subjects, including Machine Learning Basics, Algorithms, Cryptography, Optimization Algorithms, Data Mining, Computer Graphics, and Advanced Software Architecture Patterns. Over the course of two years, students also explore specialized topics like Geometric Modelling, Coding Theory, and Information Systems in Practice.

The program maintains a balanced emphasis on theoretical instruction through lectures and seminars, complemented by hands-on practice. This practical element ensures students are not only well-versed in theory but also equipped to apply their knowledge in real-world settings.

To augment their academic learning, students engage in a 6-week internship, either within the university working on research projects or at a multinational or local company. This practical exposure serves to further enhance their skills and offer a glimpse into the professional landscape.

The program begins in both September and February, spanning four semesters and accumulating 120 ECTS credits. The tuition fee for this program is 7,500 USD per year, with additional fees including a 150 USD application fee and a 350 USD entrance procedure fee. English language proficiency, demonstrated through standardized tests like TOEFL or IELTS, is a requirement for admission.
