The Faculty of Music offers a range of Master of Arts programs designed to cultivate skilled musicians in various domains of musical performance. These include Classical Musical Performance, Classical Musical Instrumental Performance, Opera Singing / Oratorio and Art Song Singing, and Choir Conducting.
The objective of these programs is to nurture musicians who possess advanced performing skills, theoretical knowledge, and refined musical abilities. Graduates are expected to significantly contribute to the enrichment and dissemination of both Hungarian and European music culture. They are envisioned to expand the repertoire with their discerning musical taste and excel either in professional performing ensembles or as accomplished soloists.To be eligible for admission, candidates are required to hold a Bachelor’s degree in the appropriate instrumental/vocal area.
The programs commence in both September and February, spanning four semesters and accumulating a total of 360 ECTS credits. The tuition fee amounts to 8,500 USD per year. Additional charges include a 150 USD application fee and a 350 USD entrance procedure fee.
The core subjects covered in these programs, while indicative and subject to change, encompass Instrumental / Vocal / Conducting Technique and Performance, History of Music, and Analysis.
Upon completion of their studies, graduates are equipped to embark on careers as accomplished soloists or as integral members of professional performing ensembles. Their elevated level of expertise also renders them eligible to pursue further studies in the DLA doctoral program.
