Course Description

Horticultural engineering

The Horticultural Engineering BSc is one of the Faculty’s oldest and continuously evolving study programs, adapting to the latest scientific knowledge and environmentally friendly technologies. The program aims to equip graduates with the necessary skills to plan, supervise, and manage industrial-scale horticultural production processes, including the preparation, distribution, and storage of products. Students will also learn specialized managerial tasks in the horticultural industry and how to set up and operate independent horticultural farms efficiently.

This program is an excellent choice for those interested in participating in activities that involve the cultivation of delicious and visually appealing fruits and vegetables, as well as the production of fine wines from vineyard grapes. Graduates will be well-prepared for careers in various horticultural fields and will have the knowledge and skills to make a positive impact on the environment and society.

Online Interview & Test

The admission specialists will evaluate your performance during an online interview and test. Please note that neither the entrance exam nor the tests can be retaken, so it’s essential to prepare adequately for the interview. During the interview, your level of English proficiency will be evaluated, and you will be asked about your motivations for choosing your desired study program. It would be beneficial to research Hungary and understand why you are interested in studying there. The test you’ll take will vary depending on the study program you have chosen. However, it will be at the upper-intermediate high school level. It’s normal to feel nervous about the tests, but most applicants find that they are not as daunting as they initially thought.
